Lighting Representatives provides the following services for your lighting needs:
Design Resource
Starting a new project? Lighting Representatives will assist you, as a resource, by pulling together ideas for your project. Take a moment and tell us about your project, or the space you are working on, in return, we will provide you with the following:
- “Idea Book” – Once you explain the design intent we will begin collecting color brochures, specification sheets and presentation material in a binder format. This “lighting book” allows for a starting point in developing specifications and creating a lighting fixture schedule. Call our office and simply ask for an “idea-book” and we will begin pulling from our resources.
- As the project evolves, so does the “idea book”. Add or delete specification sheets and brochures as required… a work in progress type of thing.
- As the lighting fixture plan becomes finalized, so does the “idea book” Lighting Representatives will assist in generating a fixture schedule as well as provide budget pricing as the project moves into the construction document phase.
- Two or Three copies of the “idea book” are provided. One for you, one for the Electrical Engineer and one for the contractor to say “this is what we want!”
Project Management
- Providing tools to save TIME and ensure project integrity!
- Working with our suppliers and distributors and contractors to achieve a smooth and on time flow of products to the job site
- Obtain true project cost by receiving quotations based on drawings, design recommendations, and overall design criteria. What is the actual cost of the materials for your design?
Lighting Specifications
We enjoy working directly with architects, engineers, electrical contractors and interior designers to develop the best material specifications that will accomplish your objectives. Determining the correct part numbers and identifying lamp requirements can be time consuming. Lighting Representatives will assist you with this information.
Photometric Studies
Many of the manufacturers have the ability to provide point-by-point calculations in order to qualify the light levels for a given applications. Whether you are designing a school, church, library, atrium, exterior site, or even a specialized area, Lighting Representatives can coordinate the information for you!
- General estimation of the lighting levels for any application
- Spacing guidelines for typical areas
- Examination of reflectances and surface brightness
- Recommendations for meeting design criteria and industry standards
- 3D radiosity-based virtual models.
Value Engineering
Equipment specifications are the true foundation of any construction project. While architectural prints give you the plan, technology can give you multiple choices. Value Engineering can give you both a solid foundation and cost reductions. We can answer the question “Does my client benefit from a Value Engineering lighting package being offered?” and “ Who benefits from accepting substitutions?”
